Amanda Brugel

(February 27th, 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in that part of the island of Montreal that is known as"the West Island. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of different communities. For those who haven't heard of it often mistake it for a separate island facing west. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on the West Island. However, this isn't the truth. Brugel was a woman of a certain age within Courtice Ontario, just outside Oshawa. Her first ambition was to be a dancer. However, a growth rate increased her height and she outgrew her dance partners she had. An article in the Toronto Star article revealed she's 6ft 1in tall in heels. Once I was bigger than the size of my male companion, I stopped. Bruce was among the former dancers who turned to acting. The teacher she had at high school encouraged her into the right direction. Her teacher suggested she audition as Anne for their school's annual production. She auditioned and ended up playing the leading role of Anne of Green Gables. The show led her to receive the award of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theatre Program which she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Over the last 20 years, her work has been seen on the small and large screen. She gained the most fame when she was offered the part as Rita on the award-winning TV show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel made an appearance on only a handful of moments in the very first season of the show The Handmaid's Tale. She was the only Canadian member.
